|
 |
|
Designed
specifically for applications where several lighting fixtures are
to be operated from a single photo control.
• All weather
non-metallic case (Noryl®)
• Easy front door access to fuse
• More room for fuse puller
| Specifications |
| Enclosure: |
Front
door opening, non-metallic, Noryl® enclosure. Dimensions
7-7/8'' high, 8-5/8'' high including mounting bracket, 6''
wide, 3-9/16'' deep. |
| Photocontrol
Receptacle: |
Models
available with or without a locking-type photocontrol receptacle
mounted to the top of the relay enclosure. Receptacle will
accept all locking-type photocontrols that conform to applicable
EEI-NEMA standards. (To order relay models with optional photocontrol,
add suffix “P” to model number.) |
|
| Switch: |
Single-pole,
single-throw. Available with either Normally-Open or Normally-Closed
switch contacts. |
| Operation: |
Extremely
reliable mercury relay will operate dependably at 80% of it’s
rated voltage. Its mercury element is hermetically sealed
in an inert gas atmosphere. Cool operation with a maximum
temperature rise 25û C over ambient on the outside surface
of the enclosure. Silent operation with no distracting noise
in work areas. |
Normally-
Open Contacts: |
A
lightweight steel armature floats on the pool of mercury.
When the control circuit coil is energized, its magnetic field
pulls the armature down into the mercury; the mercury level
rises to contact the stationary molybdenum electrode, thus,
energizing the load circuit. |
Normally-
ClosedContacts: |
With
the control circuit coil de-energized, a heavy-weight steel
armature is pulled by gravity into the mercury pool, raising
the mercury level to contact the upper molybdenum electrode.
When the control is energized, the armature is pulled upward
out of the mercury. The mercury level falls and breaks contact
with the upper electrode, de-energizing the load circuit. |
| Temperature
Range: |
-40û
to 150û F (-40û to 65û C). |
| Lead
Wire: |
Oil resistant,
color-coded lead lead wire with Class A 105û C insulation. Length:
18 inches or 457.2 mm. Color-coded: 10 AWG white, 8 AWG black,
8 AWG red. (Models without a receptacle have an additional yellow
10 AWG wire.) |
| Lightning
Protection: |
Equipped
with two highly reliable metal oxide varistors (MOV) for protection
against line surges. |
| Fuse: |
Internal
fuse located for easy access within enclosure. |
